about me - dominique cormann - matt kozmik

The first one is my real name, the other is a alias I used I used when I ran the Rave company I ran in Guelph. No real reason other then I thought it was funky name.

I am a student. Right now I'm at Conestoga College, and I'm taking the Computer Programmer / Analyst program. I've always enjoyed working with computers, but for some reason I didn't think I would be able to make it as a programmer so I started off exploring the world of Health care - specifically Nursing.

I spent a summer working as camp counselor at a camp for the mentally challenged. This really helped me feel good about going into Nursing. I enjoyed working with this population and later went on to work part time in the local group homes in Guelph, for the mentally challenged.

After High School I went back to Toronto where I was born ( I moved to guelph half way through high school ). I started Nursing college there, but I hated living downtown in a major city. The only good thing I found while living in Toronto, was I finally got to go to my first Rave. No drugs, no alcohol, just good PLUR ( peace love unity & respect ) believing people. I know raves have changed, but back then, they were pure - free of commercialism, and filled with all that sappy good stuff that I don't see much of anymore.

When I got back to Guelph, and enrolled to continue nursing locally, I started up a Rave company in Guelph. We were imitated by other locals, but unlike our competition, we actually put on the raves - all the Dj's showed up, security was friendly, and we kept up the true tradition of free candy and fruit at sun rise. It was very kewl also proving to the local police that at least our definition of a rave, was something totally legal, we always had the cops over to show them all was good. No drugs, no alcohol, and everyone still partied past dawn! Click on the picture to see some pics from past Plurality events. These are pictures taken by Slinky, a past WYNSOR member, and DJ.

Nursing gradually started to become less and less appealing as I spent time in the hospitals. Ummm...its a long story. But the short version is that I decided that I'd take a chance and switch to the Computer Programmer/Analyst program at the same college. They accepted me, and I never went back to finish of my Nursing. Uber-geek nirvana here I am. Computers are my hobby, my scholastic choice, and if the job market ever recovers, hopefully will be my career too.

I have other hobbies too. I've been enjoying playing around with my digital camera, and I'll be moving my pics to my Gallery.

I've recently started a blog, so if your interested my various comments about my life, you should check that out.
